Favorite things

Hey There!,
 I will admit, I had no idea what to blog about today, but I was complied to post something, as I made a commitment to update the blog every other day. Plus, after school starts the amount of posts that I put out will decrease rapidly. So, I want to be a girl of her word, till summer lasted.
This post basically shows all of my favorite things up till know. ( and yes these are in the order, from the most loved to just loved).
1. I have been obsessing over peter pan collars ever since I saw them on Louis Vuitton's fashion show. They are so cute and, well, amazing. The question is, who would not like them?
2. Okay, I have been fussing over buying myself a leather jacket for a while. ( story time) One day, I finally decide, I will go out and buy myself  a leather jacket. So, I set out to the store, I looked around, and guess what, no leather jacket in sight.( It was the middle of summer.) I come home empty handed.   But here is the thing, I do not feel sad, that  I did not find a leather jacket. The reason being, I never owned anything leather before, and something as eye catching as a leather jacket was a pretty big step for me, and I guess I wasn't ready, till, I spotted this cute leather jacket. It is so perfect, it's not black, so it wouldn't be as edgy, and the color is very versatile.
3. I have been in love with belle flats since I can remember. They are so elegant and girls that they instantly make you look like royalty. ( Okay, maybe not, but I can still dream about it).
4. The moment summer started, I was hooked on cross bodies. They are so comfortable to carry around, as you hang them on your shoulders, and forget about them.
5. Chocolate! enough said. I have to say, I would have made it number one, but this being a fashion post, it just did not seem appropriate. But then again, I could not resist, so I  put  them in any way.
6. I saw this in Selena Gomez's photo shoot for Teen Vogue, and loved it very much. I had to have it, but realized, what would I do with such an umbrella? It would not protect me from the rain.If it did protect me from the sun, I would probably not carry it around with me, as when I would be in the sun, I am probably would be having fun, so why carry extra load.

High Waist

Hey there,
 As requested , I am doing a post on high waist pants. In my opinion, I really like high waist pants. They are very flattering, as they give you a little tummy tuck. Also, they look amazing with a button down, lose fitted blouse. I would also like to say that I would not go as far as the first pair pants, as they are really high, and I believe they might be quite uncomfortable.

High Waist by fashionangle featuring high waisted jeans

The uniform

Hey there, 

Okay, we all own a white t-shirt and a pair of comfy blue jeans. The picture above shows you guys my version of giving the over worn outfit, a new structure. If you notice, I played around with only two types of color; navy and shades of beige. This  outfit is perfect for the day time, when you are going to the mall, or having fun with friends, etc. 

The first thing I added was a statement necklace. The idea of statement necklaces is very amazing, and I absolutely love them. They provide an extra something to every outfit.

The second thing added to the outfit is a stack of gold bangles. Truth is, I love stacking my bangles and brackets, and could not pass this opportunity. The only thing about stacking that one needs to know, is to be careful and make sure you don't over whelm, or over stack. Doing so, would make your outfit look almost messy.  Here I stacked a couple of bangles with  different textures but in the same color, so it would not be distracting. If you wanted you could add a different color, a color that would compliment the outfit as a whole.  (For example, something navy.) 

Then I added a backpack, a nice muted brown, almost nude color, that would go with almost any outfit. I really like this backpack. I like the shape and the crochet detailing. I believe it gives it something special, do you not think so to? I also added a pair of oxford inspired flats. The are just so pretty. I also think they pull the outfit together.

Backpacks for school

I know it's just the last day of July and school is almost a month away, but today I really wanted to look at backpacks for the new school year. I still have my backpack from last year, which I have been using for three years now, and thought it was time for an upgrade.  I looked at a couple of bags and I narrowed it down to these six bags. By the way, these bags are in no particular order. ( I haven't brought a new bag yet.)

1. This canvas bag is really adorable. I love the shape of the bag. The floral print is really vintage, and I am in love with everything vintage.

2. This bag is by Vera Bradley, and I love it a lot. I love; the floral print, the fact that it would be able to house my laptop, and it is impossible to stay disorganized with this bag. But I might not buy this bag, because it is quite expensive in my opinion. I would buy something this expensive if it weren't something I would  end up ruining in a matter of a semester. I say this because my backpacks go through a lot.( I would probably buy their carry on bag, because, like I said, it is impossible to stay disorganized with their bags.) 

3. Okay, the first bag is similar to this bag, but I love the fabric and the shape of these canvas bags. I also like how it is a neutral color, as it would go with almost every outfit. The red accents creates beautiful drama, which looks amazing. 

4. Oh the messenger bag. When I saw this bag, I don't know why, but I wanted it to be mine really badly. This seems quite ironic because as a child in elementary school, I found messenger bags very unattractive. This goes to show, how one's style evolves as they age. 

5. The PATTERN, polka dots. The only pattern that I loved for a really long time, besides floral of course. The color is also beautiful, and the shape of the bag, just gives you a school girl vibe, does it not?, okay maybe I  am the only one who gets the vibe.  

6. The last bag, okay, okay, I know, this bag looks the same as the first and third one, but you  can't blame me, canvas bags are so adorable.( and between us, I feel like I am going on an adventure, when I am with a canvas bag. Oh wow just realized how weird I am.) I love the color, and the muted stripe pattern.

Summer afternoon on the board walk

This is an ideal outfit I would wear on the boardwalk. The coral dress is a light weight, sheer dress. I absolutely love this dress, mostly because it has a high low hem line.
The denim jacket is something I would just pull on to warm myself from the cold winds.( If there are any)
The brown wedge looks very pretty with this outfit, but personally, I would trade it for a pair of flats.
The brown/ nude bag is just the perfect size, in my opinion, to carry a bathing suit if I wished to take a dip in the water.
Lastly, the bold red lip. Okay call me crazy, but i love a bold lip when I am at the boardwalk, especially a red one. When I am at the beach I only where moisturizer, sunscreen and a little bit of concealer, even if I am only walking on the board walk. So, a red lip would glam things up.
What do guys think? Is a red lip too much?
